World Beyond our lies
The Smart Perspective | New Series
#1 Do what is right
In a growing polarized world of social media
where everyone’s anger is somehow your problem, and if you don’t take it
seriously you become less of a human being. It is time to redefine some
priorities.
Peer pressure can be seen gaining popularity
on Twitter. As a consumer, you are forced to read someone else’s complaints and
expected to show solidarity as if it has any value to add to your life (i.e.
Omg this airplane company is worse; they delayed our flight for three hours,
etc.)
Life is precious. Don’t take it for granted.
At a young age when most of our responsibilities lie
on the shoulders of our parents, we create this illusion that making wrong decisions
will have no repercussions on our lives at all. It is not the correct
understanding of how life works.
You may feel an intense urge to listen to music
while there’s a plethora of work left on your desk. I want you to do justice with
your life. Pick up on your work because you are paid for it.
Learn to be a disciplined human being.
Seeking the right thing is a big challenge. However, it is not impossible. You might see many people you admire on the other side of the road,
and that’s okay. Life is not meant to be around the same people for your entire
life.
Understand that doing the right thing is noble work. It might heart others but keep this in mind; they are annoyed by your actions because
they have refused to see the truth.
In the search for truth, the best mentor you could find is yourself. Follow yourself through the journey of exploring the truth to do the right things on this planet.
#2 Human is better at creating but worse at managing it.
This might be controversial to many of you, and I could understand that. The engineering mind has created some of the greatest products humanity has ever seen in its living history.
My argument is that unless we find evidence of another one, humanity has to be undoubtedly the super-intelligent species in this universe.
The biggest achievement of humanity is that it rejected subconscious ignorance by allowing the rationale to come into play. Thanks to the scientific evolution, intelligence and rationale took the lead and brought us to the post egalitarian era of scientific breakthroughs of which we yield the fruits today.
However, the greatest achievements have some cost and it is being paid by nature that nurtures us all, it’s called Earth.
Humanity is great at building new things, but unfortunately, not so good at handling them.
The innovation of nuclear technology has led us to heinous nuclear weapons. The world is still figuring out what to do about North Korea and Iran? What steps need to be taken to prevent any nuclear proliferation in the future? No backup plan; scientists seemed to be in hurry to create the technology.
The Internet is also the greatest creation. A small part of its use is ethical, but the majority we don’t know much about. In some countries, the Internet is used as a tool to create prosperity; however, in countries where freedom of speech is not the general right of the population, it has been used as a tool to control. What would happen in the coming next few years, nobody can predict.
Fossils were drilled to energize the planet but it turned our beautiful planet into a warm bubble. Every year further heatwave records are being broken across the globe due to the increasing carbon footprint. We need the energy to keep our economies alive, but at what cost? We haven’t yet figured that out, unfortunately.
This isn't the complete argument, it wasn't meant to be. It's the beginning of one of the most unprecedented arguments, "do we know what we know?"
